We are planning a 5K race in Seattle, and events in Ghana, but there are events being organized by our supporters worldwide. Wherever you live, it is up to you to make something happen in your own community! Be creative!
Mark your calendars: the 5th Annual Save The Frogs Day will be held on Saturday April 27th, 2013.
Save The Frogs Day will take place at the end of April each year. We chose April because frogs are active (in the temperate Northern Hemisphere anyway), and because it's warm enough that field trips can take place. Also, schools are in session and most universities have not yet started exam, so students can take an active part in Save The Frogs Day.
Funny you should ask. Please read Jeremy Hance's article 'The Story of Save The Frogs Day', which features an interview with SAVE THE FROGS! Founder & Executive Director Dr. Kerry Kriger, who conceived and coordinates Save The Frogs Day.
Read James Wolcott's article on Save The Frogs Day that appeared in Vanity Fair April 22nd, 2010.
Absolutely! We have no corporate sponsors and thus depend on your support to accomplish our goal of preventing amphibian extinctions through environmental education, scientific research, legal defense, and through the acquisition of critical amphibian habitat. Thanks for your support!
