What can $2 do for frogs?
Habitat destruction destroys forests and swamps on which frogs depend. Pesticides give frogs extra or missing limbs and turns male frogs hermaphroditic. The lack of disease testing by those involved in the trade of frogs for food or pets spreads infectious diseases around the world and drives entire frog species to extinction within a matter of months. These are problems that get stopped on Capitol Hill. The problem is our legislators know nothing about amphibian extinctions.
We need to raise $1,000 by next Tuesday so we can get 20 of these four by six foot posters placed at bus stop transit shelters all around Capitol Hill, where they will stay up for a month at only a fraction of the cost that for-profit corporations would have to pay for the same ad space. Thousands of people including legislators, lobbyists, and wealthy potential donors will see these posters every day.
