Litoria jungguy - Northern Stony Creek Frog
Stony Creek Frogs are the most common frog inhabiting streams throughout eastern Australia, being found on virtually any rocky stream with little canopy cover. Males and females are brown for most of the year but males turn yellow when they are ready to breed, and often bright yellow during amplexus.
I found this frog in the Mossman Gorge in Queensland's Wet Tropics.
Stony Creek Frogs have been recently split into three distinct species, Litoria wilcoxii, Litoria jungguy, and Litoria lesueuri, though all three species are relatively similar in appearance and habits.
