Seriously Important! San Francisco's Mayor May Veto Our Pro-Frog Legislation. Please call him!!!
On December 6th and again on December 13th, the Board of Supervisors of San Francisco voted 6-5 in favor of legislation to save the Sharp Park Wetlands and the endangered California Red-Legged Frogs that live there! However, the Mayor of San Francisco Ed Lee has threatened to veto, and he could do so anytime in the next 8 days.
If you have not yet done so, please CALL Mayor Ed Lee's office at (415) 554-6141 right now and say:
"I am calling to ask Mayor Lee please DO NOT VETO the Sharp Park legislation just passed by the Board of Supervisors. I support the Sharp Park legislation because it is important that we protect endangered frogs and other wildlife. Wetlands are critical to the health of the planet. Thanks for helping SAVE THE FROGS!."
When you are done, please fill out this 5-second form to let us know if you called or emailed, so we can track the response:

Laptop Needed for SAVE THE FROGS! Ghana
SAVE THE FROGS! Ghana currently has one total computer. It is so bashed up and old that the laptop screen falls over if not propped up. Its keys are falling off the keyboard and it has a very small hard drive. It's audio card is failing, meaning that Gilbert and I cannot talk over Skype, the cheapest and best means of communicating. Oh yeah, it's on loan from the Zoological Society of London and is due back to them at the end of the year. So we need to find two quality laptops to ship to Ghana, for Gilbert Adum (Executive Director) and an office assistant. We can accept your fully functional used laptop, or you are welcome to purchase a new laptop. 13" is preferred but we are open to whatever you can offer. Feel free to contact us to discuss!

Save The Frogs: Stop Your Junk Mail
Junk mail is horrible for the environment, so we are pleased to announce that 34 SAVE THE FROGS! supporters let the nonprofit organization 41pounds.org stop their junk mail in 2011 -- and this earned SAVE THE FROGS! a $360 donation from 41pounds!

Save The Frogs' Bullfrog Campaign featured in Scientific American
The Board of Supervisors of Santa Cruz County voted 5-0 Tuesday to consider our proposed ban on the sale, possession, release and importation of American Bullfrogs...the vote on the legislation should take place February 28th. This will make Santa Cruz the first County in the USA to take such action against invasive bullfrogs.
John Platt featured SAVE THE FROGS' campaign to get American Bullfrogs banned from the American West in his Scientific American article "Should California Ban American Bullfrogs?".

If you like what we do, please donate to SAVE THE FROGS!
Over 98% of our donations in 2011 have come from individuals, people like you! This means we are not chained to the desires of the government or corporations and we can run the campaigns of highest importance. SAVE THE FROGS! is a grassoots organization: we are less than four years old but we have spread our message across the planet because of generous donations from people like you. Help ensure we have an incredibly successful 2012 by placing a tax-deductible donation to SAVE THE FROGS! -- Whether it's $20 or $2,000, it goes a long way to saving the world's most endangered animals. Thanks!

Thanks for all your support,
