The Kalinga State University – Rizal Campus, which houses BS Agroforestry and BS Environmental Science, will host a Save the Frogs Day celebration here in the Municipality of Rizal in the province of Kalinga, Philippines. The event will be on April 22, 2022 and is the first of its kind in this location.
Activities for the event will include lectures and workshops on amphibian conservation and environmental protection; art contests (such as poster making, poetry writing, and slogan making); quiz bee; field and frog habitat visit; and the launching of the campus’ environmental publication and young environmentalists’ organization.
Six hundred dollars ($600) will be used to fund the activities during the event (courtesy a SAVE THE FROGS! Grant). Selected students, faculty, and staff will participate in the limited face-to-face activities due to the COVID-19 restrictions, however, we will be opening the art contests to all interested students in the province.
Details of the event will be posted on our Facebook Page. For more information, contact Juman Kevin Tindo (email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org).
