Talking Points
You can use these in all communications…
What: The Million Frog March is a historic gathering to defend democracy, freedom of speech, and environmental protection.
When: Saturday, April 25th, 2026
Where: Lincoln Memorial, Washington DC (and cities worldwide)
Why: Frogs are a symbol of peaceful resistance. They’re disappearing because of habitat destruction, pollution, and climate change—but they also symbolize something deeper: the interconnection between environmental health and democratic freedom.
Key Message: Healthy Ecosystems Need Healthy Democracies. When democracies are threatened, our ability to protect the environment is undermined. When the environment is destroyed, all citizens lose. Here’s why frogs matter.
What Will Take Place: Peaceful, nonviolent demonstration • Speeches from environmental & democracy experts • People in frog costumes • Creative protest signs • Community building • Family-friendly atmosphere
How to Join: Attend in DC • Organize an event in your city • Share on social media (#MillionFrogMarch) • Donate to support the movement
Talking Points For Interviews
Be prepared for questions from journalists and interviewers!
“Frogs aren’t the story—they’re the messenger. The real story is that ordinary people are connecting democracy and environmental protection.”
“When people see frogs disappearing, they understand that something fundamental is broken. And now people are connecting frogs with the fight to protect our democratic freedoms.”
“Using frogs as a symbol isn’t silly — it’s strategic. It’s the difference between people scrolling past your message and actually stopping to listen.”
“The Million Frog March is serious activism with a joyful spirit. We’re defending something real—democracy, freedom of speech, and a livable planet.”

A Final Thought
You don’t need to be a professional organizer to make a difference. Every text, every post, every conversation spreads the word. Every person who learns about the march is a potential new voice for democracy and the environment.
This is grassroots activism at its best: ordinary people using their networks and creativity to build a movement.
Thank you for being part of the Million Frog March. Together, we will not be silenced—and neither will the frogs.
