Public health and global economies are currently under siege due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus and COVID-19. It is inevitable that humans will continue to be impacted by zoonotic diseases (which are transmitted from animals to humans) if the trade and transport of live animals continues.
As such, SAVE THE FROGS! joined with PawPAC and a coalition of other organizations to call on California’s politicians to ban the sale and importation of wildlife and non-native species into the state, if the purpose of such commerce is human consumption.
