Video: STF! Mexico Inaugural Reunion

This inaugural SAVE THE FROGS! Mexico reunion brought together Dr. Kerry Kriger and David Montiel with passionate students and researchers from across the country to launch a unified network for amphibian conservation. Dr. Kriger provided a comprehensive overview of resources available through the SAVE THE FROGS! website, including SAVE THE FROGS! Academy with 40+ courses, three types of grant opportunities, and scholarship programs.

Participants introduced themselves, with several students from the UABC Herpetology Club in Ensenada, Baja California sharing their work in habitat restoration, parasitology research, educational theatre, and community outreach, while Susana from Mexico City discussed her axolotl genomics research. The group identified collaboration opportunities and scheduled their next meeting for January 14, 2026 to begin planning events for Día de Salvar a las Ranas (Save The Frogs Day) on April 28th.

Recorded December 3rd, 2025
