Dear Dr. Kerry, I am writing this mail to you to let you know about my recent involvement in a frog survey program of the Kathmandu valley, Nepal. The program “Croaking Monsoon-2019” was jointly organized by:
- Environment Protection and Study Center (ENPROSC)
- Companions for Amphibians and Reptiles of Nepal (CARON)
- Goldengate International College (GGIC)
- Wildlife Conservation Nepal (WCN)
The major objective of this program was to explore the status of frogs in and around the ponds of Kathmandu valley. Our team of three members surveyed around 20 ponds of Kathamandu valley and identified three species of frogs and toads (Duttaphrynus stomaticus, Euphlyctis cyanophlyctis, and Hoplobatrachus tigerinus).
