Introduction

Our Save The Frogs Day event was free for the public and took place at the Auditorium of Parque La Isla, in the city of El Tena in Ecuador, from 2pm to 8pm on April 27th, 2024. At the entrance of the event, all attendees took a souvenir photo with the SAVE THE FROGS! Ecuador sign and with plush frogs. We conducted several activities for all ages. We had informative talks on various topics: Diversity of anurans in Ecuador, Communication in Anurans, Reproduction in Anurans, and Threats that anurans suffer in our country. We organized several games for children and adults: a memory game with frog photos, a game called “Frog carrying its eggs,” and hopscotch with questions about the talks. We had drawing, painting, and question contests. We ended the day with a night hike through the park trails where we found several species of frogs.
