WHAT:
Save The Frogs Day is the world’s largest day of amphibian education and conservation action. Celebrated April 28th Every Year, our goal is to inspire and empower amphibian enthusiasts to organize events in their local communities, with a goal of doing something beneficial for amphibians. From educational presentations to frogging excursions and habitat restoration, we leave it up to you to determine what type of event you would enjoy organizing.
Save The Frogs Day Planning Sessions are all about helping you organize the most impactful event possible.
WHO:
We encourage anyone interested in helping out with Save The Frogs Day planning to attend…whether you are organizing your own event or want to help out with general planning.
WHY:
Save The Frogs Day is the best way to get people interested in amphibians, so we want your event to be successful.
WHEN:
Save The Frogs Day Planning Sessions take place on the third Tuesday of each month.
HOW TO REGISTER:
Registration is free, fast and easy. You only need to register once in order to attend all future meetings. Please do not register multiple times. We will email you a Zoom link once you register; you should add that to your calendar for the last Saturday of every month. It will work each month.

Schedule Of Events
Save The Frogs Day Planning Sessions take place on the third Tuesday of each month, at:
– 5:30pm Los Angeles time on odd numbered months (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, Nov)
– 8am Los Angeles time on even numbered months (Feb, Apr, Jun, Aug, Oct, Dec)
– Planning Sessions last one hour.

June 18th, 2024 Save The Frogs Day Planning Session
Led by SAVE THE FROGS! founder Dr. Kerry Kriger, this session marked the beginning of our monthly meetings, designed to help amphibian enthusiasts prepare for the 17th Annual Save The Frogs Day on April 28, 2025.
These sessions, occurring every third Tuesday through May 2025, aim to ensure well-planned, impactful events with plenty of time for refinement and addressing potential challenges. Dr. Kriger emphasized the importance of early planning to prevent last-minute surprises and increase the success and educational value of the events.
During this session, we reviewed the 2024 Save The Frogs Day events, with Dani from SAVE THE FROGS! Ecuador sharing insights from her successful event in Tena, which saw over 125 participants. Dani highlighted the importance of having a reliable team of volunteers and detailed the various activities and workshops held.
The session also covered practical tips for event planning, including using tools like Canva for creating promotional materials and ensuring effective communication with volunteers and attendees. We created a Save The Frogs Day 2025 promo graphic and updated the website with a page about the Ecuador events.
