Fundraising is critical to a nonprofit’s success. As such, SAVE THE FROGS! seeks volunteers to assist in strategizing and implementing fundraising initiatives. Fundraising Assistants will help ensure we can fund the multitude of projects we have in the USA and worldwide and thus achieve the massive potential we have built up through our worldwide network of extremely talented and dedicated frog enthusiasts.

If you have significant fundraising experience – or if you wish to gain experience – and you are ready to assist SAVE THE FROGS! Founder Dr. Kerry Kriger, we encourage you to apply for this volunteer position.

There are numerous ways you can help raise funds:

Place a donation jar in your office (clear so people can see the bills, and ideally with a SAVE THE FROGS! sticker or two on it).
Research and write grant applications (you will definitely want to take the SAVE THE FROGS! Fundraising Course to get your skills up to par)
Hold a fundraiser through your Facebook or Instagram page
Start a fundraiser on the SAVE THE FROGS! website and ask your friends and colleagues to donate to it
Walk a few miles a day collecting lost bills and change (that’s how Christina Koronkiewicz raised over $1,000 for STF! in 2024!)
Write fundraising appeals that we can send out in the STF! newsletters and post on social media
Write “SAVE THE FROGS! Donations” on an envelope and ask your fellow students and co-workers to add a dollar or two to it (it works because the envelope makes your collecting activity look official!).

Expectations & Benefits

(1) Meet online with SAVE THE FROGS! Founder Dr. Kerry Kriger via Zoom video conference once per month to strategize ways for SAVE THE FROGS! to increase our revenues.

(2) Contribute between meetings via projects that make use of your professional expertise.

(3) Benefit via novel learning experiences; creative application of your professional skills; contributing to the SAVE THE FROGS! mission; recognition; and making new contacts within the SAVE THE FROGS! professional network.

Skills & Experience

Skills and experience we seek include:

– Grantwriting (for which we have a very detailed course)
– Donor Development
– Corporate Sponsorships
– Crowdfunding and a willingness to ask for the donation
– Bequests & Planned Giving
– Social skills and curiosity, to better connect with donors

Commitment

You should be able to meet via video conference for a half hour meeting at least once per month.
You should be prepared to dedicate at least two hours per week towards your project.
Length of appointment is six months.
We seek applicants who can envision working in best faith to meet these time commitments.

Be sure to include a one to two paragraph summary of your skills and experiences as they relate to fundraising. Include your resume and/or a link to a relevant website describing your skills and accomplishments.
