We are pleased to announce that the 2019 SAVE THE FROGS! World Summit will be held in Kolkata, India on February 8th and 9th, 2019. We invite all amphibian conservationists to attend this FREE event.

The SAVE THE FROGS! World Summit will bring together amphibian biologists, environmental conservationists, teachers and artists from multiple countries, to raise awareness for endangered amphibians and provide attendees with numerous ways they can assist threatened wildlife and ecosystems in their own communities upon their return home.

What To Expect

Over the course of two days, attendees will:

  • Meet and connect with other SAVE THE FROGS! supporters;
  • Hear enlightening and inspiring presentations on amphibian conservation;
  • Attend workshops aimed at improving our ability to protect amphibian populations and succeed in our campaigns on behalf of the environment.

Who Should Attend

We encourage participation from scientists, educators, students, politicians and members of the public interested in amphibians. The World Summit will have a focus on South Asia but we welcome participants and presenters from anywhere in the international amphibian conservation community.

On both February 8th and 9th, 2019 we will have amphibious events taking place from 10am until 6pm, with a lunch break in the middle.
Please note that the Saturday 10am-12pm session is for kids only.

The SAVE THE FROGS! World Summit will include live classical music of northern India by SAVE THE FROGS! Founder Dr. Kerry Kriger (perhaps with rhythmic accompaniment by Dr. Krishan Kumar Sharma and surprise guests).


The SAVE THE FROGS! World Summit Kolkata is FREE for all participants.

Travel Grants

SAVE THE FROGS! is proud to announce that we have awarded $1,795 in SAVE THE FROGS! Travel Grants to facilitate the participation of nine amphibian conservationists who will be traveling from afar to take part in the World Summit. Awardees come from Nepal, Bangladesh and India.
