“Our activities on Save The Frogs Day will center around raising public awareness on the need for conservation of the frogs and other amphibians of Sarawak and of South-east Asia, and we proudly take part with our international colleagues in activities to draw awareness of the declining amphibians. This will be the fifth year we are organizing this event, the first, in 2012, at Camp Permai, Santubong, in collaboration with the Permai Rainforest Resort, in 2013, 2014 and 2015, our event were held at Kubah National Park, and we partnered with the Sarawak Forestry Corporation. A “frog race”, which will include talks on amphibians and their conservation, exhibits of sights and sounds, all open to the general public, and based at the Lambir Hills National Park, close to Miri city, Sarawak, Malaysia, is planned for the day on 30 April 2016. This event will again be jointly-organised by the Institute of Biodiversity and Environmental Conservation, UNIMAS and Sarawak Forestry Corporation.” – Save The Frogs Day Even Organizer Sing Tyan P.
