About SAVE THE FROGS!
Founded in 2008 by amphibian biologist Dr. Kerry Kriger, SAVE THE FROGS! is the world’s most effective amphibian conservation organization. We work in California, across the USA, and around the world to prevent the extinction of amphibians, and to create a better planet for humans and wildlife.
The mission of SAVE THE FROGS! is to protect amphibian populations and to promote a society that respects and appreciates nature and wildlife. Our vision is a world in which not a single amphibian species is threatened with extinction. With your advice, your involvement and your financial support, we are 100% positive we can SAVE THE FROGS!

“I am happy to share a first experience as a volunteer in the SAVE THE FROGS! program organized by Nature Conservation and Study Center (NCSC) in collaboration with Environment Protection and Study Center. Had a beautiful time with the team and special thanks to Deepa Kulung. Hope we will be together again in upcoming programs!”

Why Frogs Are Important And Worth Saving
Frog populations have been declining worldwide at unprecedented rates, and nearly one-third of the world’s amphibian species are threatened with extinction. Up to 200 species have completely disappeared since 1980, and this is NOT normal: amphibians naturally go extinct at a rate of only about one species every 500 years!
Amphibians provide an array of ecosystem services and knowledge of amphibians has led to numerous advances in human medicine. Plus frogs look and sound cool, and kids love them — so there are lots of reasons to save the frogs!

“Wow. Thanks a lot. I’ll have trouble sleeping tonight. It was so inspiring for me to see the work that is being done around the world to help protect amphibians, and consequently, to protect nature, which helps other species. Congratulations for your work. These were wonderful people that I saw/met today. I connected with a few through private messages. A gift. Thanks”

What Our Supporters Say
Letter Of Support From Dr. Dan Martin
(National Geographic Society)
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to express my support for Save The Frogs, a public charity dedicated to protecting one of the world’s most threatened groups of animals, the amphibians. I have worked as an environmental grant-maker for more than 25 years, serving as the founding Director of the MacArthur Foundation’s World Environment and Resources Program; Chief Research Officer at the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation; Senior Managing Director of the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund based at Conservation International; and as a member of the National Geographic Society’s Committee for Research and Exploration. Based on that background I can assure you that Save The Frogs’ conservation and education work is novel, innovative, timely and competent.
I have personally known Save The Frogs Founder Dr. Kerry Kriger since October 2008, when we served together as volunteers in a political campaign. I have followed his progress in building Save The Frogs and am impressed with his dedication and achievements. I heard him speak at the National Geographic Headquarters in April of 2009 where his knowledge and enthusiasm eamed him a very positive reception. Save The Frogs has a highly qualified group of scientists serving on its Advisory Committee, and fills a significant niche in the overall environmental protection movement. The organization has several successful programs in place, and it shows a genuine potential to achieve victories for the amphibians that are such valuable and endangered elements of the ecosystems on which we all depend.
Consequently, I give my full support to Save The Frogs, and happily urge you to do the same.
